A Rose Garden Celebration: Ritz-Carlton Residencies Groundbreaking Event

Last October, we had the absolute honor of designing and installing one of the most breathtaking projects we’ve ever created: the groundbreaking celebration for the new Ritz-Carlton building in partnership with Howard Hughes. The theme was an immersive rose garden, held beneath a clear tent on-site, where guests were transported into an elegant, corporate, and yet deeply enchanting floral experience.

From the moment guests arrived, they were welcomed into a fully transformed space that felt like stepping into a luxurious rose garden—complete with towering trees, lush plant beds, custom floral installations, and sophisticated details that elevated every corner of the event.

Immersive Installations

Our team designed four breathtaking “install moments” that made the space unforgettable:

• Hanging Greenery on the Ceiling: 20 bales of smilax created a lush canopy, softening the clear tent and bringing nature overhead.

• Grand Entry Arbor: A double-sided floral arbor greeted guests at the entrance, lush with smilax and roses, creating an immersive entry experience.

• Logo Greenery Backdrop: A 16’ x 8’ greenery wall with twinkling lights, accented with roses, framed the stage with elegance while showcasing the Ritz-Carlton logo.

• Floral Benches with Meadows: Two seating areas framed by garden-style meadows invited guests to sit and soak in the beauty.

Garden Details

The event’s rose garden feel came alive through raised plant beds, 14-foot trees in custom boxes, and 10-foot trees strategically placed to cover functional elements like AC units. Over 500 assorted plants—from blooming roses to lush greenery—created a living garden inside the tent. Bed edging and plant boxes defined the pathways, ensuring the environment felt polished and intentional.

Tables & Bar Florals

Every table was thoughtfully dressed in florals:

• 20 Modern Round Centerpieces graced guest tables.

• 28 Highboy Tables featured small modern arrangements, giving every guest a touch of beauty.

• Grand Bar Arrangements anchored each bar, paired with 24 bud vases and a flower install above the bar cart for a showstopping look.

• A buffet table arrangement tied everything together with elegance.

One of the highlights was the flower cart—an interactive station with roses wrapped in sleek black waterproof paper, finished with custom Ritz-Carlton ribbon. Over 450 roses were prepared, with each guest receiving six blooms to take home, creating a memorable parting gift.

Special Touches

The design also included:

• Specialty vases (55 in total, custom-ordered).

• Custom Ritz-Carlton stickers for personalized details!

• Twinkle lights woven into the arbor and logo wall, adding a magical evening glow.

A Day to Remember

This groundbreaking event was more than just a celebration—it was an experience. With every detail, from the immersive greenery to the serene floral benches and interactive flower cart, the environment reflected the timeless elegance and prestige of the Ritz-Carlton brand.
